A shopping List of Seasonal fall Items for your next Trader Joe’s trip
Hey there! How are you? I hope you’ve had a good week. As I get going posting blog entries, I am going to try to always have a new post on Fridays for you. My hope is that this is a good day for you as most of us typically have more time to read and shop on the weekends. If you don’t want to miss any posts you can subscribe here.
My week has been busy, but good. It is finally feeling more like fall with some cooler mornings and evenings. I have been enjoying the leaves starting to change too. Some of my favorite things about this season are decorating, cozy sweaters, pumpkin picking, and of course indulging a bit in all the fall goodies, especially at Trader Joe’s.
This week I finally went there to pick up some of their fall items. I had seen some reviews on seasonal goodies before so I knew there were a few things I definitely wanted. Looking at these posts helped me as I was shopping so I didn’t miss out on something I normally wouldn’t have been looking for. Hopefully, this helps you as well when you make your seasonal fall Trader Joe’s shopping list.
While I didn’t buy every fall item I saw at my Trader Joe’s, I will include some items that tempted me and I might have to go back for. I also haven’t tried everything yet but thought it would be fun to share them still. I grouped them by meal type to help you navigate a little.
Drinks –
Synergy Kombucha –
Living in Gratitude – Fall Edition – with apple, turmeric, carrot and spices. Synergy is one of my favorite kombuchas, not only for the taste and the wide variety of flavors, but because there isn’t added sugar. I always enjoy trying their seasonal blend so I saw this and snagged it. It honestly wasn’t my favorite though. The carrot taste was a little overpowering for me but might be perfect for you. I think I might mix it would an apple cider or another juice though to make a delicious mocktail.
Pumpkin Pie Spiked Ginger Brew –
This is a risky choice in my book. It could go very wrong or be really delicious. I will share on my instagram page my final thoughts. Might make a good harvest punch with a few additions!
Maple Oat Beverage –
I forgot to buy this and will get it next time I go. I’ve heard it is perfect in your coffee or even in your black breakfast tea.
Pumpkin Spice Rooibos Tea –
This tea comes in a beautiful tin container and has the perfect hint of spice to it. I got this last year and really enjoyed it. There is also a Harvest Autmunal tea blend I want to try too.
Snacks –
This Pumpkin Walks into a Bar Cereal Bar –
These are a great quick snack. They have them in a number of flavors and I always like the pumpkin. It has a nice sweet, yet pumpkin spice taste. (pictured with the Biscotti)
Apple Fruit Snacks –
These are proof that fruit snacks aren’t just for kids. These little apples taste so good. I’m not sure if this is truly a fall only find but it’s apple so tis the season. Definitely recommend these for the whole family. I got two bags.
Fall Leaf Tortilla Chips –
I mean c’mon! How could I say no? These are delicious salted corn tortilla chips, but are elevated with fall colors and leaf shapes. I ate them with guacamole and they were great. An easy way to make a fiesta feel fall.
Fall Harvest Salsa –
Chips and salsa are probably my biggest weakness. I am a sucker for unique hot sauces and salsas so I had to give this a try.
Mini Spicy Pumpkin Samosas –
These sound delicious! I didn’t see them, but will be looking for them next time. Samosas are the triangle version of an empanada. I’m thinking these would make a great appetizer with a cilantro yogurt dip!
Ghosts & Bats Crispy Potato Snacks –
I’ve never met a potato chip I didn’t like. Finding these next time I do a Trader Joe’s haul. Would be super cute on a charcuterie board.
Breakfast –
Pumpkin Biscotti –
Biscotti is definitely a treat for me. It makes me think of Europe because that was where I first fell in love with dipping biscotti in my coffee. Trader Joe’s pumpkin ones are so good and a favorite of mine. I knew I had to buy these again this year and they make mornings extra special.
Pumpkin Waffles & Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls –
Basic and easy breakfasts with a twist of fall. These would be great for a quick breakfast, but also something fun and different.
Pumpkin Brioche Twist –
This bread looked and sounds delicious! I want to make a yummy fall french toast with it. I think I’ll buy it when my family is in town so I won’t eat it all myself.
Lunch/Dinner –
Spicy Pumpkin Curry –
I saw this and immediately was tempted to buy it. I don’t think I’ve seen this item before, but I think it would be good.
Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash Risotto –
I love a good risotto but wasn’t sure what the flavor would be like of this. I find sometimes cauliflower rice can be a little bland for my taste. It’s in the frozen section so please let me know if you give it a try.
Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese –
This is a great frozen meal that would make for a quick easy lunch or dinner. Also would be great as a side for steak or with a salad. I’m pretty sure I got this last year and liked it, but couldn’t remember. I might need to go back and snag one.
Fall Zuccuette Pasta –
Made with butternut squash in the shape of little pumpkins. This was too cute to pass up. I’m not big on at home pasta, I feel like it’s never as good, but I’m very excited to try these. Thinking of making mac and cheese with them or adding a red sauce, spicy Italian sausage, and topping with basil and parm!
Pumpkin Bisque –
Creamy pumpkin with fall spices. I love using seasonal Trader Joe’s items to create an easy but elevated dinner. This will pair nicely with a Ceasar salad and toasted garlic bread. If I am really hungry I’ll add chicken or tri-tip.
Autumnal Harvest Soup & Pasta Sauce –
Creamy tomato base with pumpkin and butternut squash. These are very similar, but both sound delicious. I tried one of them last year, but can’t remember which one. I think it was the pasta sauce. It was part of a Trader Joe’s recipe paired with gnocchi, madras lentils and something else. Anyways, I know I really liked it, so I got them both for easy meals. (pictured above and below)
Desserts –
Mini Hold the Cone Ice Cream Cones – Pumpkin Ginger –
I love these! They have just the right amount of ginger spice to compliment the sweetness of the cone. These are such a great dessert when you just want a little something sweet. I was excited to see a seasonal flavor since these are one of my favorite items.
Pumpkin Empanadas –
I saw this item on someone else’s list and wanted to try. They were in the frozen section with the desserts. I was expecting them to be with the Mexican food as a savory bite so I wanted to note that. Either way, I’m excited to try them. I feel like you could add whipped cream or maybe even a spicy sauce to make them extra yummy.
Rustic Apple Tarte –
This was in the frozen section and I’ve read great reviews about it so I wanted to mention it to you. I didn’t buy it though because I am spoiled with a mama who is a great baker. It looks delicious and is topped with sliced almonds.
Petite Pumpkin Spice Cookies –
Shortbread cookies with pumpkin spice and yogurt coating. These look so good and reminded me of the pink and white circus animal cookies. I have a huge sweet tooth so I tried to limit myself on treats so I resisted them.
Pumpkin Spice Pretzel Slims –
I don’t think I’ll be able to resist these if I see them again. I love a good sweet and salty combo!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix –
Anyone else love oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or pumpkin bread with chocolate chips? I do! This mix sounded like a good combo of some of my favorite flavors together. I love this for a quick and easy treat!
Cinnamon Bun Cookies –
How I missed these, I don’t know, but I will go back and I will find them. Soft baked cinnamon and brown sugar cookies sandwiching a cinnamon bun flavored cream filling, do I need to say more?
That’s a wrap on what to put on your seasonal fall Trader Joe’s shopping list. There are still so many delicious items that aren’t on this list, but everything in moderation right? I also know I’ll go back and pick up some more goodies. Please let me know what I am missing from my seasonal Trader Joe’s shopping list that you love.
