Hey there, I hope you’ve had a good month. I’ve been lucky enough to see some friends and am currently helping my Mom pack up to move to Boise, Idaho! There are a lot of clothes, an amazing book, some mental health quotes, and more on this list. I hope you enjoy my favorite finds for May!
1. Red Dress from Kohls –
Comfortable dress to throw on and dress up or down. Regularly $50, but Kohl’s often has sales and coupons. Comes in black and a sand dune-looking tan color. A great option for any summer plan. Shown above.
2. Glow Recipe Plum Plump –
Want plump, glowy, hydrated skin? This Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum will help with just that. Glow Recipe products are staples in my skincare routine. I love that they are a clean beauty line, have beautiful packaging and everything is fruit-related. This serum is a great step in my everyday routine both day and night. If you are looking to try anything else from them, I love the Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer too.
3. The Power of Recieving by amanda owen –
This book is so good! There are so many nuggets of wisdom that are relatable to anyone’s life. I think anyone at any age could find good information in this. I love that it gives you some tangible ideas on how to make the suggested changes and ways to live your life.
4. Draped halter Top from Zara –
Wow, this top is so well made and the fabric is a beautiful, stretchy, soft material. At $50, it isn’t cheap, but after feeling it and wearing it, it’s worth the money. I’d just recommend sizing up if you aren’t sure what size. It seems to be selling out fast online, but maybe you can find it in your store.
5. Silk Oat Yeah! Oatmeal cookie Creamer –
Another of my favorite finds for May, this creamer from Silk. Not only is it delicious; it’s vegan, dairy-free, and has no artificial flavors. It literally froths like a dream and has a great spice yet sweet taste. Definitely, one to try!
6. Spicy Guacamole Mix & recipe –
It is the season for BBQs and with that comes chips and dips. If you are looking for the perfect guacamole recipe, look no further. This spicy mix is a game-changer and with this simple recipe below you will be a favorite at the BBQ. If you can’t find this specific brand of the mix, whatever your store had would work. Full disclosure, my bestie’s husband gave me this recipe, but it’s too good not to share.
- 5 avocados
- 1 bushel of green onions
- 1 bushel of cilantro
- 1/2 small red onion
- 1 jalapeno (with seeds if you want)
- 1 lime
- 2-3 roma tomatoes
- 1 packet of spicy gauc mix
- Dice/chop it up and mix – I like to mash the avocados first, mix in the packet and then mix in the rest of the ingredients. Fold in the tomatoes last.
7. Trendy Satin Tops from Nasty Gal –
Under $30 usually, because they often have big sales, makes these trendy tops worth the buy. I was impressed with both this halter top and this asymmetric cowl neck. If you can get them on sale I’d snag them for your next girls’ trip or date night.
8. Baublebar Earrings –
These earrings are one of the favorite finds for May that I am most excited about. The stud and chain look is too cute. I cannot wait to get these in the mail and wear them with another stud and huggie hoops in my other two holes. There is a similar pair here with two chains.
9. One Piece Swimsuits from Amazon –
I don’t typically love swimwear from Amazon, I find them to be cheap or ill-fitting often. However, these are a few options that were of decent quality and very affordable so I wanted to share. A one-shoulder that ties around the waist and comes in tons of colors. This one has a cute gold ring detail on the side. Another one with cutouts and comes in a bunch of colors. All of these would be great options for your next beach or pool day.
10. mental health awareness Month –
May is Mental Health Awareness month so I thought I’d share a few favorite quotes and graphics I’ve collected that serve as good reminders, helpful tips or are just relatable.
Thank you for checking out my favorite finds for May! I hope you enjoyed them and found some inspiration. Until next time,
xoxo, Tracy
