Monthly items i’m loving
1. Costco Three Dots Quilted Jacket –
I knew I had to have this jacket after touching it; it was so soft and plush feeling. It’s the one I’m wearing in the picture above. It also comes in sage green and light grey as well. The slightly cropped style is perfect for me at about 5’2″.
2. Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip –
Glossy, subtle lip color that makes your lips look extra kissable and plump! Don’t worry, the colors aren’t as vibrant as they appear. They just add a hint of color which is perfect. There is also this value pack with 4 colors that I got and love! The Rose and Buttered Rum are my favorites from it. They have a pack of 3 as well.
3. CARLY JEAN LOS ANGELES SWEATERS –
This California based clothing company has some of the softest, coziest items I’ve ever owned. This month, I have been living in one of their oversized sweaters. They have sales often if the price tag makes you hesitant, but I promise once you have a few items you’ll be in love with the quality and coziness. If you follow them on Instagram they post videos often to help with size and fit. I also have shirts, dresses, jackets, and loungewear from them. I love it all!
4. Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Brownie in a Mug –
Individual packets of delicious brownie mix to make the perfect little dessert; just add water. They have a few flavors and I honestly don’t think you could wrong with any of them. These are super easy and just the right amount for anyone with a sweet tooth. Adding vanilla ice cream on top is my favorite way to eat one.
5. REVLON ONE STEP VOLUMINZING HAIR DRYER –
I’ve never been a fan of blow-drying my hair due to it taking forever, hair damage, and just never feeling like it does after a hair salon drying. This Revlon hair dryer has changed the game for me. While it is bigger than expected and takes some getting used to, my hair looks and feels so much softer, smoother, and ready to go than ever before. P.S. these are sold in a lot of locations so a quick Google search could help with the best current deal. However, Bed, Bath & Beyond even accepts their expired 20% off coupons so that could be your best bet!
6. CODENAMES game –
Of all my favorite finds for December, this is my latest obsession! We played this with family and friends over the holidays and it was so much fun! It’s definitely challenging and you need at least 4 people, but it’s one that I think will forever be in my rotation of best games. It’s hard to explain, but I’ll try.
There’s a 5×5 grid of individual cards, each with a word on it. Some of the words belong to your team, some belong to the other team, and some are neutral. There is a “map” of what words belong to what team. A person from each team can see the map and gives a one-word clue, along with a number of how many cards you should be able to guess with this clue. Example – 3, water – boat, duck, and ocean. Whatever team guesses all their cards first wins. Hopefully, once you get the game you will have a better understanding.
7. Monogram Pendant Necklace –
I have wanted this necklace for years now. Yes, years. I waited for a sale (which they have often enough) and finally got it! There are duplicates of it on Amazon or Nordstrom, but don’t buy those. This one is worth the extra dollars because it is 14k gold-filled. Gold-filled lasts so much longer and won’t tarnish like gold plated will. Another great gold-filled piece is #3 in this post.
8. Q & A a day – 5 year journal –
Love this journal! I finished my first one at the end of 2020 and will most likely start a new one. You answer the same question for all 5 years, but every day is a new question. It’s interesting to reflect and see how things do or don’t change in your life.
9. CARSON RIDGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON –
You guys, I did not think I was a cab girl, but recently have tried a few and was very pleasantly surprised. I had this one around the holidays and really enjoyed just drinking it on its own. Even better, it’s made in Paso Robles, California. This is on the Central Coast of California and right near where I used to live so it’s near and dear to my heart. If you’re looking for a wine getaway, Paso Robles is the best!
10. KEISARINNA β THE EMPRESS CHEESE –
This creamy gouda and sharp parmesan cheese make the most delicious flavor combination! I found this on sale at Costco and have since bought another because I love it so much. Pairs well with pretzel thins and would be perfect for any charcuterie board.
Finishing 2020 with a wine and cheese combo just felt right. I hope you agree and enjoyed this round-up of my favorite finds for December. Looking forward to sharing more monthly favorites with you in 2021!
If you missed any in 2020 here are the links to those posts – September, October, and November.
