Hey there! It’s been a while. I had to skip July because I was too busy moving to Idaho! It’s been a wild month, full of changes, exciting things, tears of grief, and more, but happy to be able to settle down and make Boise home. I still have so much to share and so much to explore here, but until then, enjoy my favorite finds for August!
1. Sam Edelman Heels –
Sam Edelman has been one of my go-to shoe brands for years. They are quality, affordable, and always have cute, trendy options. Shown in the photo above, I wore these heels a couple of times in Palm Springs and loved them. They come in a few different colors and have a moderate to high heel without being uncomfortable.
2. Crinkle Bikini –
This bright pink number is so good! The color, the stretch, the comfortable fabric, and the price are all great. I got the high-waisted bottoms and the bandeau knotted top, but it does come in a few other styles. This popular crinkle material comes in other colors too. It is a one-size-fits-all, so I wouldn’t recommend the strapless top if you have a bigger chest. I found the bottoms to be a little long or overly high-waisted on me, being that I’m 5’2″, but honestly wasn’t an issue. I only mention it to say it will definitely fit other sizes and shapes.
3. Biker Shorts with Pockets –
$20 and over 20 colors helped make these shorts on my favorite finds for August list. They are comfortable, don’t squeeze my thighs in an unflattering way (you know what I’m talking about), and have the perfect cell phone pocket. I loved the olive-grey and limonite colors.
4. Trendy Beaded Necklace –
The ’90s are back! Beaded necklaces and bracelets like we all used to make as kids are back in fashion, some costing over $50! I’m not super into this trend, but I can appreciate a little necklace or bracelet here and there. This one from Amazon is $10, has a couple of pearls with colorful beads, and is a good choker-style length. For the price, it’s a perfect way to dip your toes back into the ’90s without feeling committed.
5. Drawstring Knit Lounge Shorts –
I was strolling the aisles are Nordstrom Rack, felt these shorts, and immediately had to try them on. They are so soft, have pockets, and are long enough to feel acceptable wearing them out and about. I got my standard size small and if anything would have sized up. Under $20 too!
6. Dark Chocolate Coconut Covered Almonds –
Don’t hate me if you can’t put these down! These are the upscale version of an Almond Joy. We found them at Costco, but Amazon has them as well. The perfect little treat.
7. Long Sleeve Floral Mini Dress –
This is such a great piece for fall and transitioning into cooler weather. It has long sleeves and an adjustable drawstring for ruching over one leg. The floral print is mostly black with white flowers but also has some pinks, burnt orange, and more. Dress it up with a neutral heel and leather jacket or down with black combat boots and a denim jacket.
8. Fall Decor Finds –
Anyone else love decorating for fall? I always get excited to put out my pumpkins, my fall pillows and dish towels, and of course light all the candles. I like using different textures to play up the cozy vibes and usually stick to more neutral colors. As I was scrolling online this month, these caught my eye on TJMaxx.com – wool pom-pom garland, small wooden pumpkins, black and tan print blanket, grey tassel pillow, and a faux fur pumpkin. There are so many other cute things on their website too. Snag them now, before it’s too late! Also for other fall inspiration check out my hygge inspired fall decorating post from last year.
9. Chelsea Peers Pajamas –
I’ve never been a big pajama girl, but while looking for something cute for a friend’s bachelorette pajama party I came across this brand. I was impressed with their cute variety of prints and styles so I ordered a couple of pairs to try. They are a very soft material and great quality. I’d say they run true to size, but I could do a medium for a roomy fit too. These are a few of my favorite prints: cactus, tigers & palm trees, and pink stripes. Bonus, this company does big things with sustainability, including planting a tree for every online order.
