Hi, I'm tracy
creative, planner of everything &
Wannabe Martha Stewart.
the basics
I’m a California girl – Chico & San Luis Obispo. I moved to Boise, Idaho in 2021 for wokr & family & hoping to make it feel like home this year. I’m 30 & doing my best to embrace lifes ups & downs. I’m a firm believer that sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together & in saying your dreams out loud. Speaking them into existence & surrounding yourself with people who support your dreams.
My love for cozy sweaters, dainty gold jewelry, holiday decor, a comfortable jean & finding the perfect scenic view might lean on obsessions. Working out & coffee are pretty much daily rituals, both are needed for my mental health. I advocate for going to therapy, gratitude journaling & self care. My hair is up more often than not & I’m working on growing my brows back from the early 2000s. Cotton candy pink is my favorite color, but if I’m picking tops, it’s black or white 90% of the time. My bucket list is long & most items include travel destinations – Greece, London & Prague might need to be checked off next.
Why I started this blog
I have to admit, I was very nervous to start this blog for many reasons – the cost investment, what if no one follows me, how am I going to get good photos, what will my friends think…
But, I gave myself a “why not me” pep talk, confided in some supportive friends and tossed all those fears to the wind. I thought about making a space for others that allows me to learn, be creative & challenge myself; while also allowing me to use what I am good at (cough sale shopping cough). As well as, thoughtfully curating gifts, designing spaces & looks and heavily researching the best places to eat & watch the sunset when I travel.
However, my ultimate reason is the hope that this blog allows me to help & inspire others by being my authentic self & sharing what I’ve learned & found to be useful or ignite joy in my life.
A little background on me to support my why – I got my college degree in event planning & management. I believe that being a planner and hostess with the mostess is ingrained in who I am as a person. It is my dream to have a big long dining room table so I can decorate it to the nines for any holiday occasion or celebration and fill it with the people I love.
I believe love is in the details of things from finding the right hand bag or statement earring, to adding washi tape & personalized vintage stamps to make snail mail feel like the present, to layering textures & adding plants in your home to make it exude cozy.
Few things get me as excited as a Pinterest mood board, but it’s my passion for relationships & wanting to help others that drove me here.Β
I worked at a nonprofit for five years and above everything else I loved the mission & the community. I loved that I was able to create these big, beautiful events that ultimately raised thousands of dollars to help healthcare & save lives where I lived.
Now I canβt say that this blog is going to help save lives, but I hope it helps you save dollars.Β I hope it helps you save some tears of frustration. I hope it helps you save time looking for the perfect outfit for an occasion. I hope it saves you from picking the wrong shoes for traveling. I hope it helps you find the right words for a loved one going through a hard time or helps you when you’re a little unsure of how to style your home. I hope it helps save you from feeling alone & lost in your feelings and inspires you keep growing through the hard days.Β
So if any of those items sound like they could help your life, you might want to hear more or maybe you connect with them then please join me along this journey & be the first to know what the latest is. We can be friends sitting down to chat over a cocktail or coffee, just via email.Β
